Masindi head teacher who allegedly impregnated two pupils granted bail

Masindi: Masindi High Court has granted bail to the embattled head teacher who has been on remand over alleged defilement and impregnating two pupils.
The head teacher of St. Kizito Primary School Murro in Bwijanga sub-county Masindi district, Hosea Kiiza, has been granted bail after spending nearly one and a half years on remand.
Kiiza was remanded to Masindi prisons by the Masindi chief magistrate’s court in November 2022 on charges of defiling and impregnating two minors from Muuro village.
He was granted a cash bail of five million shillings on March 27, 2024, by Masindi High Court assistant registrar Juliet Nakitende after presenting three sureties who were also tagged with non-cash bail of 7 million shillings.
Nakitende also ordered Kiiza to report to court every first Wednesday of the month.
