Komakech appointed Deputy RDC of Nakapiripirit

Nakapiripirit: Stephen Komakech has officially assumed office as the new Deputy Resident District Commissioner (Deputy RDC) for Nakapiripirit District, following his appointment by the Office of the President.

The handover ceremony took place on August 6, 2025, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Komakech’s public service journey.

A respected media personality and seasoned administrator, Komakech brings with him a wealth of experience from his time at the Irene Gleeson Foundation (IGF), where he rose through the ranks in the radio department to become Chief Administrator a position he held until his recent appointment.

Komakech is widely known across the Karamoja sub-region for his professional and balanced radio moderation, especially during live talk shows that featured prominent figures in politics, governance, and civil society.

He is one of several notable leaders who have emerged from Might Fire FM Radio, a platform renowned for nurturing talent and cultivating professionals through practical media training and community engagement.
