The gesture was a token of appreciation for Jonard Conglomerate’s unwavering support as platinum sponsors of the club. Asiimwe’s investment in the team has been instrumental in their success, and Kasozi acknowledged this by expressing his gratitude.
Kasozi also announced that the club wants to honor Asiimwe by making him the executive patron of Kitara FC. This recognition is a testament to Asiimwe’s dedication and commitment to the team’s growth.
The president also revealed that the club spent a budget of 1.6 billion to reach the national level, a feat that would not have been possible without the support of Jonard Conglomerate and Kitara FC.
Asiimwe received the trophy with humility, reiterating his passion for football and his desire to see Kitara FC reach greater heights. He praised the team’s hard work and dedication, saying that their success is a reflection of the club’s values and spirit.
Speaking during the diner he organized at his home over the weekend to congratulate Kitara FC for winning the trophy, Jonard Asiimwe, CEO of Jonard Conglomerate, appreciated Kitara FC, the fun, and the Bunyoro media for their role in building his company.
Asiimwe stated that Kitara FC has the potential to become a significant source of income if continued to be supported, thus the importance of separating business from politics, advising the public to avoid hatred and focus on development, and he vowed to continue investing in Kitara FC, stating that he is not involved in politics.
The partnership between Jonard Conglomerate Investment Limited and Kitara FC is seen as a significant boost to the club’s ambitions to win the Uganda Premier League title. With the support of Asiimwe’s company, the club is expected to strengthen its squad and improve its infrastructure to compete at the highest level.
Speaking to journalists during the same dinner, Kitara FC President Deo Kasozi declared that the team is determined to win the Uganda Premier League trophy this season.
