Kakumiro police stuck with decomposing body

Unfortunately, the deceased had no identification documents on him, making it challenging for the police to trace his relatives.

Kakumiro: The decomposing body of an unidentified man in his 30s was discovered in Kakumiro district, Uganda.

The man had deep cuts on his head, face, and neck, and he was found dumped by the roadside in Mutabwa cell, Mutabwa ward of Kakindo town council.

Authorities were alerted by passersby who came across the body on Friday evening.

Julius Twesige, the area LCI Chairperson, mentioned that the deceased was not a resident of the area, suggesting that he might have been murdered elsewhere and then transported to Kakumiro.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and stated that the body was taken to the Kakumiro Health Center IV mortuary.

Unfortunately, the deceased had no identification documents on him, making it challenging for the police to trace his relatives.

‘’Several interventions have been put in place by the police to trace the deceased’s relatives in vain.’’
