Kabarole LCV Chairman Praises President Museveni’s Youth Employment Initiatives

He urged them to stay focused on their studies, ensure good discipline, and cooperate with others so that they could successfully complete the course.

Kabarole: The Kabarole District Chairman, Richard Rwabuhinga, has hailed President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his visionary skilling program for the youth, which he says is one of the most successful campaigns to fight unemployment in Uganda.

According to Rwabuhinga, the presidential skilling program has offered skills to thousands of youths countrywide who had lost hope after missing out on formal education.

He explained that the program has offered hope to the hopeless, uneducated youths, and many of them have become more successful than their counterparts with more qualifications in formal education.

Rwabuhinga made the remarks on August 23, 2024, while flagging off a total of 41 youths who will undergo a six-month skills training course at the Tooro Zonal Industrial Hub in Kijwiga, Katooke Town Council in Kyenjojo District.

He urged them to stay focused on their studies, ensure good discipline, and cooperate with others so that they could successfully complete the course.

Pual Bwire Ogallo, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Kabarole, emphasized the need for the trainees to maintain good discipline while at the hub. He also appreciated President Museveni for his visionary leadership and planning very well for Ugandans.

These will join other trainees from the districts of Kyenjojo, Kyegegwa, Kamwenge, and Kitagwenda. The courses at the hub include bakery, block making and stone cutting, shoe making, tailoring and knitting, wielding, and hairdressing.
