Kabarole civil servants urged to embrace teamwork
“You should complement, not compete. When you complement each other, service delivery improves and even individual career development becomes easier,” he said.
Kabarole: The Resident District Commissioner of Kabarole, Ssekabiito Joseph Kitayimbwa, has urged civil servants in the district to embrace teamwork and complement one another instead of engaging in unhealthy competition.
He made the remarks on Tuesday while addressing heads of departments during a meeting held at the district headquarters in Kitumba.
Hon. Ssekabiito noted that unnecessary competition among public servants undermines productivity and slows the implementation of government programmes. He emphasized that collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and mutual support are essential for effective service delivery.
“You should complement, not compete. When you complement each other, service delivery improves and even individual career development becomes easier,” he said.
He further stressed that unity across departments would enhance efficiency and enable the district to achieve its development goals.
During the same meeting, the Chief Administrative Officer of Kabarole, Mr. Rubaihayo Stephen, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the importance of teamwork in public service.
The meeting brought together key district officials to discuss strategies aimed at strengthening coordination and improving performance across departments.
