Hundreds grace Bunyoro’s Empango marathon
The money realized from the empango run Kits will be used to support Kibaale health centre IV in Kibaale district.
Hoima: Hundreds of People have today participated in the Empango marathon organized in commemoration of the 30th coronation of R.A Solomon Iguru Gafabusa 1.
The participants were flagged off by the prime minister of Bunyoro Kitara kingdom Andrew Byakutaaga at the kingdom’s parliament grounds in the morning.
While flagging off the runners, Byakutaaga appreciated the participants for coming forward to support the Health sector in the Kingdom.
After the run, Byakutaaga rallied the masses to take part in the on-going and upcoming activities which are being held to mark the 30th coronation anniversary.
Grace Kojjo the director of Kontik hotel located kampala road in Hoima city commended the kingdom for organizing such events which unite all people living in Bunyoro.
One of the participants who spoke to our reporter, Francis Abitekaniza, the clerk to council of Kikuube district, appealed to all people to always participate in these activities in order to raise Bunyoro Kingdom to the top.
