Hoima LCV Chairman appoints Vice

Mulumba was the secretary of finance, planning, administration, and investment.

Hoima: Hoima District Council has approved Hon. Mulumba Hellen, the councilor representing workers, as the Hoima District Vice Chairperson, and Hon. Koojo Naume, the female councilor representing Kitoba Sub County, as the secretary for finance.

The duo was approved on Thursday, March 28, 2024, during the council meeting that was held at the district headquarters in Kasingo and chaired by the speaker, Swaibu Nyangabyaki.

Using the powers entrusted to him by the constitution of Uganda, Hon. Mugisha Uthuman Kadiri Junior, the Hoima district LCV chairman made changes to the executive committee.

Mugisha appointed Hon. Mulumba Hellen as vice. Mulumba was the secretary of finance, planning, administration, and investment.

Meanwhile, Hon. Naume Koojo replaced Mulumba as secretary of finance, planning, administration, and investment. Hon. Hillary Tumusiime retained his position as secretary for social services, and Hon. Ogenrwoth Felix retained his position as secretary of works, production, and natural resources.

Speaking to this publication in an exclusive interview, Mugisha said that it was a disservice to the people of Hoima to have an executive committee with gaps.

‘’Now that we have filled all the missing gaps in the district executive committee, people in Hoima should expect service delivery because the members I have appointed are capable of delivering.’’

Hon. Mulumba Hellen thanked the district chairperson for appointing her and the council for approving her name. On the other hand, Hon. Koojo Naume also thanked the chairperson for her appointment and committed herself to working with the council members.

Meanwhile, councilors also thanked the chairperson for appointing members who have never been in any corruption scandals, adding that they are optimistic about their services to the people of Hoima District.

During the same meeting, the district council laid out a draft budget of 31 billion shillings for the financial year 2024-2025.
