Fuso smuggling alcoholic drinks intercepted for defaulting URA taxes

Ntungamo: Police in Ntungamo district intercepted a fuso truck smuggling Kazero Energy Alcoholic Kombucha drink on Monday.
The District Police Commander (DPC) for Ntungamo, Busheija Hannington Kanimi, explains that the fuso fighter registration number UBN 394X blue, which had long been tracked by using police cameras from Kampala, was finally intercepted at one of the fuel stations in Ntungamo Municipality.
The police commander asserts that the fuso truck was intercepted for defaulting on Uganda Revenue Authority taxes.
Busheija noted that upon intercepting the fuso, it was full of boxes of Kazero Energy alcoholic Kumbucha drink, which had no URA seals, a signal that it was being smuggled to be supplied in Kabale and Kisoro Districts without paying taxes.
