Kitgum: The UPC party leadership has appointed Mr. Labejah Bob Williams, the former Kitgum District NRM Publicity Secretary, and Nebbi District RDC, as the Regional Vice Chairperson for East Acholi.
According to Brenda Atim Kinyera, the UPC National Vice Chairperson, Labejah was appointed on Thursday, August 29, 2024, as the Regional Vice Chairperson for the districts of Kitgum, Lamwo, Pader,and Agago.
In this role, he will oversee all UPC district chairpersons in the four districts.
In an interview with this publication on Monday, Mr. Labejah Bob Williams confirmed his appointment and expressed his commitment to revitalizing the party’s presence and activity in the region.
He also stated that the UPC party is prepared for the 2026 elections, with plans to nominate Jimmy James Akena as the party’s presidential flag bearer.
