Explore Busoga through cultural exchange, Ambassador urges

“We will share our experiences to inspire more travelers to explore Uganda,” she added.

Busoga: As the Busoga region continues to grow through cultural heritage exchange, Uganda’s Deputy Ambassador to Qatar, Mohammed Baswari Kezaala, has encouraged fostering stronger connections between Uganda and Arab countries.

Speaking at the Source of the Nile on February 24, 2025, Kezaala revealed that he had initiated a cultural exchange program involving nine influencers and bloggers from Qatar, who engaged with local communities during their visit.

Kezaala expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality of Ugandans and highlighted the importance of cultural interactions in boosting development. The delegation’s journey began in Western Uganda, continued through Murchison Falls National Park, and concluded in Jinja at the Source of the Nile.

He emphasized that such collaborations promote tourism, generate revenue for local villages, and attract investment. Additionally, he pledged to lobby for more investors and encourage increased tourist visits to Uganda.

Aligning with the president’s vision, Kezaala reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening cultural ties between Jinja and Arab nations, describing his mission as “painting Jinja white” through expanded cultural collaborations.

Kefaya Abudallah, founder of Kefaya Abudallah Tourism Company in Qatar and a well-known social media blogger, expressed her admiration for Uganda’s natural beauty, particularly the Source of the Nile.

She noted that while many had only seen it in pictures, experiencing it in person was remarkable. She pledged to influence more people to visit and invest in Uganda, reinforcing its reputation as the “Pearl of Africa.”

“We will share our experiences to inspire more travelers to explore Uganda,” she added.
