Buliisa: The Buliisa Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Mr. Longino Bahebwe Byagagaire, has threatened to ban scrap business following numerous cases of theft, including vandalism of road signs.
According to Bahebwa, scrap collectors sell the vandalized road signs and sell them to scrap dealers. He is optimistic that the ban on scrap business will curb theft and vandalism of road signs.
In an exclusive interview with the publication Tuesday evening, Bahebwa expressed concerns over criminals vandalizing road signs, saying this has contributed to the increased cases of road accidents in the district.
