Bukedea NRM chair vows to summon party defaulters running as independents

Bukedea: The national movement party chairman for bukedea district has vowed to summon the party defaulters who are running as independent candidates and holding any sensitive position in party structures.
Mr. Isaac Epilo NRM Chairman Bukedea announced on Tuesday during the campaign launch for bukedea county area member parliaments whose NRM party flag bearer David Beacham Okwere.
According to Epilo, the party secretariat wrote a letter instructing his office to take immediate action against independent candidates rallying against the party flag bearers.
“Today we have started the campaign officially and according to the party rules, all flag bearers to campaign jointly and i’m happy we are together in this campaign, however I was also guided by the party to institute disciplinary committee and take action to summon those who hold positions in the party structure and they are rallying against the party flag bearers”, said Epilo.
Epilo went ahead to name the candidate holding the NRM party position at structure level as Rose Akol Okulu who is vice chairperson elders and she’s vying for area member of parliament for bukedea county as an independent candidate.
“Within this week we are going to institute a disciplinary committee and we shall take action to summon party defaulters”, said Epilo.
Last Friday on 7th, Nov 2025, EC bukedea office released the road map for candidates campaign after humanization meeting.
However David Beacham OKwere NRM flag bearer, John Bosco Ikojo incumbent rallying as an independent, John Michael Odeke, Silas Opejo and Rose Akol Okulu were all nominated for the bukedea county seat.
In day one rally for the NRM party flag bearer David Beacham Okwere promised to deliver and vowed to work under party guidelines.
“I want to thank the people of Kolir for supporting me in the primaries now we have a flag, let’s work together and get the seat”, said Okwere.
