Sironko: Political momentum is building in Budadiri East, as leaders from Zesui and Bukyambi sub-counties have publicly thrown their support behind MP hopeful Nakiyi during his campaign launch over the weekend.
Magomu Bosco, the LC3 chairman of Bukyambi Sub-county, endorsed Nakiyi, commending his commitment to addressing community concerns.
He praised Nakiyi’s strong mobilization efforts, which he believes give him an edge over his opponents.
Francis Masanga, the NRM Secretary for the sub-county and LC2 chairman of Bukama Parish, described Nakiyi as a unique and strategic leader.
He expressed confidence that the NRM will back a strong mobilizer this time, calling Nakiyi a “God-given leader.”
John Woniaka, an elder from Zesui Sub-county, also endorsed Nakiyi, highlighting his proven leadership track record. He urged fellow elders and voters to support Nakiyi at the ballot.
Nakiyi will face tough competition in the race for the NRM flag, with former MP Woboya Vincent and John Kiwungulo also vying for the party’s endorsement.
With support growing in key sub-counties, Nakiyi’s campaign is gaining significant momentum, setting the stage for an intense political contest in Budadiri East.
