Masindi: The unbeaten Mbale Heroes FC and the Masindi-based Booma FC will fight for the unbeaten bragging rights in a hotly contested clash at King George Stadium, commonly known as Masindi Municipal Stadium, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in the FUFA Big League match day 8.
Asaph Mwebaze, the Mbale Heroes FC coach, vows to gather the three points from Booma FC and end their unbeaten spell in the league.
‘’I’m aware Mark Twinatsiko is an experienced coach in the league, but with the fine form of my team having won away against Lugazi FC, I expect nothing other than a win from Masindi after an entertaining 90 minutes,’’ Asaph said.
Meanwhile, Remy Atugonza, the Booma FC Public Relations Officer, says Booma FC is in good shape without any major injuries, and they will be welcoming back Kamoga, who doubles for NEC FC in the Uganda Premier League.
He says that having won Police FC at home and away against Calvary FC, the team is ready to put on a hot contest in what he referred to as the Bunyoro-Bugisu cultural derby and maintain their unbeaten run in the league.
Booma currently sits 3rd on the league table with 12 points after drawing 3 and winning 3 of their last 6 league matches, while Mbale Heroes sits in the 6th position with 10 points after winning 2 and drawing 4 of their 6 league games.
