The inhumane act reportedly followed the child urinating on her clothes. The West Nile Regional Police Spokesperson, SP Collins Asea, confirmed the incident in a statement issued recently.

“The Police in Arua Vurra District received information from local leaders of Embeva Village concerning allegations of aggravated torture involving a minor. Reports indicated that the suspect, identified as the mother of the victim, inflicted burns on the victim’s private parts, reportedly as a form of punishment for urinating on her clothes,” Asea stated.
