SAD! Another Masindi man found dead in house after not being seen for days

This is the third similar incident to happen in Masindi this year.

Masindi: Residents of Kibwona Cell in Karujubu division Masindi Municipality are in agony after finding one of the residents dead in his house.

The deceased has been identified as a 37-year-old Robinson Ahaabwe who has been a boda boda cyclist at the Rutumba stage next to Kyobe Grills washing bay in Masindi town.

The deceased’s brother, Benjamin Abitegeka, told our reporter Wednesday evening that they were notified by an unidentified colleague of late Ahaabwe who had checked on him after noticing he was not surfacing at their stage.

Margaret Asaba, the employer of the deceased, said he last met her employee on Sunday within Masindi town and was concerned since the late seemed to have drunk a lot of alcohol that he usually did.

Joseph Busobozi, another colleague at the same Bodaboda stage, says he last saw the deceased last Sunday at around 3:00 pm before he left for other duties in the village.

Charles Besemeza, a resident of the same village who is also a Bodaboda rider, said it took time to notice the death of their colleague because he has been leaving home early in the morning and returning back late in the night. He, however, described him as a hardworking fellow.

This is the third similar incident to happen in Masindi this year.

In July this year, residents of Nyangahya Cell Central Division in Masindi Municipality were left in shock after discovering the body of their own decomposing in the house.

The deceased, identified as Richard Kibegenya, 45, was discovered on Sunday, July 21, 2024, by a resident after seeing flies hovering out of his room.

The deceased person was staying alone.

In March this year, residents of Unini Village in Nyantozi subcounty, Masindi district, were also left in shock after discovering their colleague decomposing in his house.

The deceased, identified as Francis Onenchan in his late 20s, a resident of the same area and teacher at Trinity Nursery and Primary School, Kasenene, was discovered dead in his rented room after missing for three days.

Before the incident, he went to the school and requested money to go and bury a relative in Kiryandongo district.

However, after residents saw hovering flies from his rental, police broke the door and discovered him dead.
