Pastor Choda donates to patients at Katakwi general hospital

"We must show love and compassion to those around us," he said.

Katakwi: Patients at Katakwi General Hospital received a surprise visit from Pastor David Choda, Lead Pastor of Katakwi Christian Centre Ocorimongin.

On Tuesday evening, the pastor brought with him gifts of soap, sugar, and basins, spreading hope and healing to those in need.

The patients were overjoyed and thanked Pastor Choda for his generosity. Henry Adome, a patient in the maternity ward, expressed his gratitude, encouraging others to follow Pastor Choda’s example. “We are so grateful for Pastor Choda’s kindness,” adding. “We urge others to use their free time to visit the sick and those in prison, just as God’s word instructs us.”

Pastor Choda told journalists that he felt convicted to help the sick after visiting the hospital on Monday afternoon. “I saw the need and felt compelled to act,” he said. He focused on helping those in the children and maternity wards, where most patients received sugar, basins, and soap.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to pay it forward and help others in need. “We must show love and compassion to those around us,” he said.

This is not the first time Pastor Choda has helped the needy. Recently, he gave out over 300 goats to the people of Katakwi sub-county, identifying them as those in greatest need.

The patients and staff at Katakwi General Hospital are grateful for Pastor Choda’s kindness and generosity. His actions demonstrate the power of community and the impact one person can have on others.
