Amuru: A 14-year-old princess, Lamaro Prudence Amayao, the first daughter of Rwot Onen Moses of Pamuca chiefdom in Amuru district, triumphed in the 2023 PLE after scoring aggregates of 7.
Lamaro, who sat for PLE from Restore Leadership Academy Primary School, was only defeated by Okello Godfrey of Amuru Lamogi Primary School, who scored six aggregates.
In an exclusive interview with this publication on Wednesday, Lamaro attributed her victory to being a good listener and hardworking, revealing that she put all her effort into balancing all subjects to help her accomplish her dreams of becoming a doctor.
Lamaro is set to join Restore Leadership Academy Secondary School for her secondary education.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, musician Opoka Erick, commonly known as Eezzy, has publicly declared that he is going to pay for the first-term school fees and requirements for Lamaro Prudence Amayo.
Eezzy says he opted to pay the school fees for these young, brilliant princes as part of his corporate social responsibility.
He told ugreports.co.ug in an exclusive interview that he is currently paying 14 school-going children. ”Currently, I’m paying tuition for 14 school-going children.’’
Gilbert Olanya, the Kilak South Member of Parliament, appreciated Eezzy for taking a Nobel course on paying the school fees for children and urged other musicians who can also borrow a levee from Eezzy.
Amuru district registered a total of 3,462 learners, of whom 81 passed in first grade, 1068 got second grade, 1027 passed in third grade, 604 got fourth grade, 609 failed exams, and 73 missed exams.
Otoo Dominic, the inspector of the school in charge of Kilak South, says the result was relatively low compared to the 2022 result. He attributed the low pass to the effect of the Coronavirus, where pupils were automatically promoted.
