9th Edition of Nyege Nyege festival kicks off in Jinja City

Jinja: The highly anticipated 9th edition of the Nyege Nyege Festival has officially begun in Jinja City.
Starting on Thursday, November 14, 2024, the festival promises to be an electrifying experience for party-goers and music lovers alike. The event, which will run through Sunday, November 17, 2024, is set to feature incredible performances, diverse art forms, and an atmosphere of unbridled fun.
This year, the festival’s setup is uniquely located around the city, adding an exciting dynamic to the event. With gates opening at 4:00 PM on Thursday, revelers were immediately immersed in a vibrant energy. The festival boasts seven stages, each offering a different vibe and experience. Among the stages are the Reggae Stage, the Cultural Stage, the Hakuna Kulala Stage, the Uganda Waragi Stage, and more, ensuring there’s something for every musical taste.
Allibhai, the Executive Producer of Nyege Nyege, expressed excitement about this year’s edition, stating, “This will be a different experience for everyone. The stages are ready, the energy is high, and we’re excited to offer a diverse range of performances until Sunday morning.”
Security has been increased to ensure the safety of attendees. With the event taking place near Uganda’s iconic Nile River and the Jinja Golf Course, organizers are working hard to create a secure and enjoyable environment for festival-goers.
