15 cheat death as circus truck overturns in Kagadi

They ad held a musical and circus show, and were heading to Fort Portal for another event scheduled for Friday, March 7, 2025.

Kagadi: Fifteen people narrowly escaped death after a serious accident along the Hoima-Fort Portal road.

A Fuso Fighter truck registration UAP 834A, belonging to Prime Events, veered off the road at Nyamiti Cell, Muhorro Town Council, Kagadi District.

According to Ronald Nahayo, one of the survivors, three workers from Prime Events sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Muhorro Community Medical Centre for treatment.

Nahayo identified one of the injured victims as Amina, who suffered severe head injuries.

The victims had been traveling from Kyankwanzi District, where they had held a musical and circus show, and were heading to Fort Portal for another event scheduled for Friday, March 7, 2025.

Nahayo explained that the accident occurred at around 5:00 AM on Wednesday when the truck, which had been experiencing mechanical issues, failed to navigate a sharp corner near Barabara Petrol Station in Muhorro Branch.

“We began the journey despite the truck having a mechanical problem, and it failed to negotiate the sharp corner near Barabara Petrol Station,” he said.

By the time of reporting, traffic police had arrived at the scene but had not yet issued an official statement on the accident.
